Object

I like working with data. As a graphic designer structured information is like M&Ms to a three year old. Sort all the colours! The lesson I just completed dealt with objects, classes and prototypes and explained inheritance. Being familiar with CSS inheritance and classes were ringing a solid brass bell. Basic inheritance looks something like this:

Using the tools from previous lessons, specifically the object constructor and method I wrote this short piece to provide information on a specified book and calculate reading time based on the user's wpm.

Objects are made up of three basic pieces. The object, its properties and their values.

var myObject = {
    property1: value1;
    property2: value2;
    property3: value3;
    etc...
}

For the next part of the Object lesson we'll be creating objects in objects. I'll break down the code below. This code is the end result of the "Contact List" lesson; slightly adapted.
